Recently, following the strategic partnership between Yantai Public Transport and Weichai Group, the first batch of vehicles entered service on local routes. The Yasin C8E-a pure electric bus featuring a "zero rear overhang" design-has joined Yantai's public transport network, marking a new chapter in refined urban bus operations.
This milestone represents the fourth consecutive year of deepening cooperation between Weichai Yasin and Yantai Public Transport, as well as a significant achievement in leveraging new energy vehicles to drive the transformation and upgrading of urban public transit.
Through an innovative structural layout, the rear of the vehicle creates a spacious, flat standing area, maximizing passenger capacity within an 8.5-meter body. This design allows for higher passenger loads during peak hours, effectively meeting the high-volume demands of morning commutes and peak tourist seasons, thereby helping the operator enhance transport efficiency.
The Yasin C8E is equipped with Weichai's core electric powertrain system. By positioning the power unit at the rear, the sources of vibration and noise are moved away from the main cabin; combined with a low center of gravity, this effectively minimizes in-cabin noise and ride turbulence. The result is a smoother, quieter travel experience for passengers and an overall improvement in the quality of public transport services for this tourist city.
